Emily Couch's Blog!

Hi everyone! My name is Emily Couch and I am one of the four members in Fur Force! I am originally from Orange County, California and I am a Marketing major with a concentration in Supply Chain Management here at the University of Tennessee! Just so you know, I am an animal LOVER, hence why I am super excited to be working with AC-ARF and helping spread awareness for their mission. This passion started when I first got my two dogs, Colonel Biscuit and Savannah - unique names huh? Well their personalities sum up the name choice for sure. These two dogs genuinely helped complete my family. Truly. Back in California, my family and I decided that we needed a new addition to our family, leading us to see Savannah at a local animal shelter and bringing her home with us that same day. Man oh man did we get a good one. She instantly filled our home with love, joy, cuddles, and laughter. It was shortly after that we decided we wanted Savannah to have a best friend, introducing…. Colonel Biscuit. Let me just tell you, they are TWO peas in a pod. I’ve never seen a better dog friendship duo in my life. Funnily enough, my dad was the one who was the least on board with getting dogs but now he is their best friend, and they are his. Both of them have their own qualities and personalities, honestly sometimes too human life to say the least. They've moved to every single house with us and even across the United States when my parents moved to Georgia a couple of years ago. Every place, every house, they've completed and made whole. They have changed our family for the better, something I know a lot of families and individuals experience with their own pets. It honestly makes me sappy thinking about people who miss out on this, you know? Whether it’s by choice or not. So why not help provide this? Y’all should really look into our blog and AC-ARF! Talk about game changers and people who want to make a difference. Anyways, here is my spiel :) If you have any pets, go ahead and give them a big hug because wow, they truly make life all of the better!!
